Laser facial resurfacing Warsaw
Facial skin resurfacing
Laser resurfacing is a very effective method of non-invasive, strong rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction and thermal skin lifting. The treatment involves controlled damage to the skin with an erbium-yag laser beam to stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin in the natural regeneration process. The fractional laser affects the skin very precisely, creating thousands of controlled micro-damages surrounded by healthy tissue, thanks to which the skin heals quickly and the patient can return to everyday functioning in a short time. In addition, during the treatment we heat the skin, enhancing the rejuvenation effect.
Facial laser resurfacing – action
The Fotona resurfacing treatment works in two ways – fractionally ablative, i.e. the laser beam causes columnar micro-damages to the skin.
Using the Er:Yag laser beam, we create hundreds of thousands of micro-channels in the skin, invisible to the naked eye. Just one laser pulse creates up to several hundred microchannels. These are micro-damages, i.e. delicate ablation. These micro-damages are surrounded by healthy tissue, so regeneration is very fast. Micro-damage channels intensively mobilize the skin for regeneration and reconstruction. This technique of point micro-damage to the skin is called fractionation.
At the same time, the laser beam has a thermal effect deep into the skin, having a firming effect by stimulating the synthesis of new collagen and elastin. This gives the effect of lifting and visible skin rejuvenation.
The treatment performed using the fractionation technique is more comfortable for the patient, so higher energy levels can be used on the irradiated points.
Skin resurfacing with Fotona laser
The VSP (variable square pulse) technology used in the Fotona laser allows for very precise control of the energy and duration of the pulse. Thanks to this technology, treatment parameters are precisely adjusted to the patient’s needs and expectations and ensure high safety and comfort of the treatment with high treatment effectiveness.
Laser resurfacing is dedicated to patients who:
- they notice signs of aging, such as wrinkles and furrows
- they experience skin laxity and loss of firmness
- have a dull, uneven skin texture

- uneven color
- acne scars
Laser resurfacing - before and after effects
An expert's opinion on facial laser resurfacing
Laser resurfacing is one of those MUST HAVE treatments for virtually everyone and any age.
Resurfacing means rebuilding the skin. This treatment is for young skin with enlarged pores and excess sebum. Resurfacing restructures the skin , reduces pores, and makes the skin more radiant and illuminated.
It is perfect for rebuilding and regenerating gray skin that shows the first signs of aging. Removes and smoothes wrinkles, reduces sun spots. It has a photo-rejuvenating effect and smoothes the skin surface.
An excellent treatment for reducing scars, e.g. acne scars .
Resurfacing can be combined with other lifting procedures to provide a stronger rejuvenating and anti-aging effect.
I would highly recommend! The treatment is quick, painless, very safe with a minimum recovery period of 1-2 days (depending on the intensity of the treatment).
It works much better than chemical peels (so-called acids). It has a huge advantage over them in terms of effectiveness and a deep skin restructuring effect that cannot be achieved with chemical peeling or cosmetic microdermabrasion.

For a greater and more lasting effect, it is recommended to perform a series of 3-4 resurfacing treatments every 4-5 weeks.
Facial resurfacing - effects
Laser resurfacing is an ablative procedure performed using the fractionation technique. This means that the energy of the laser beam causes point micro-damages that can be compared to micro-channels. The treatment makes the skin texture take on a healthy color, become radiant, smooth, without visible wrinkles or pores. In a more intensive version, the treatment additionally lifts and improves skin firmness
Effects after laser resurfacing treatment :
- Improving skin density and firmness
- Improving skin tension,
- Uniform color,
- Rejuvenation, refreshment of the skin
- Reducing the visibility of enlarged pores
- Reduction of wrinkles, scars, stretch marks
Who is the Laser Resurfacing treatment recommended for?
Laser resurfacing is a comprehensive rejuvenation treatment. Thanks to the possibility of precise adjustment of treatment parameters, it can be performed in various versions, depending on the needs of patients.
Thanks to the fractionation technique, laser resurfacing works on the surface, rebuilding the skin texture, removing wrinkles, unevenness and discoloration; in a more intensive version, it can also affect the deeper layers of the skin and subcutaneous tissues.
Who is laser resurfacing treatment recommended for?
- for patients with the first signs of aging, wrinkles, rough matte complexion
- for patients with enlarged pores and acne scars
- for people who notice a loss of firmness, the skin becomes flabby
- for people who have several problems, including loss of firmness, wrinkles and gray, dull skin
The Fotona laser treatment is aimed at patients of all ages, with various skin types (sensitive, problematic, with scars, with the first signs of aging) who want to enjoy smooth, radiant skin. Thanks to the ability to adjust both the treatment parameters and the program to the individual needs of patients, resurfacing can be performed in three versions – light (Light), medium (Medium), deep (Deep).
Fotona resurfacing in a mild version is performed to smooth the skin structure, unify the color, refresh the complexion, and reduce enlarged pores. Additionally, collagen synthesis and face lifting occur. After the treatment, the skin is red and peeling for about two days. Resurfacing Light Peel is intended for young people.
Medium-depth resurfacing (Las Vegas Peeling) is a treatment for patients with the first signs of skin aging (shallow wrinkles, furrows, loss of firmness), with discoloration and scars, e.g. after acne. Fotona laser treatment in the Medium Peel version offers more visible effects and medium exfoliation. Due to skin redness and peeling that lasts for 2-5 days, medium resurfacing requires a slightly longer recovery period.
Deep laser resurfacing is the most intensive type of treatment. It is dedicated to people with advanced symptoms of skin aging (deep furrows and wrinkles, sagging skin, discoloration). After the Fotona laser treatment, the firmness, tension and density of the skin improves, wrinkles and scars are reduced, and the face becomes noticeably rejuvenated. The recovery period is approximately 10 days due to severe redness and peeling.
The Fotona laser treatment is safe, comfortable and does not require special preparation. Resurfacing is performed on the face, neck, cleavage, hands and selected parts of the body in order to firm, eliminate stretch marks and restructure the skin. Fotona laser therapy is extremely effective. The effects are visible after the first treatment.
Who performs Fotona laser resurfacing?
The treatment is performed by a cosmetologist
Laser resurfacing - how is the procedure performed?
The treatment begins with a pre-treatment consultation. It involves assessing the patient’s skin condition, learning about the expectations regarding therapy and the methods by which we can achieve them. The patient is informed in detail about the course of the Fotona laser resurfacing procedure and the recovery period, i.e. healing after the procedure and the principles of skin care after the procedure. Compliance with post-treatment recommendations and proper conduct during the healing process are among the most important factors influencing the effectiveness of laser treatments.
The treatment is performed with a Fotona erbium-yag laser. Depending on the patient’s expectations, appropriate parameters are set and the treatment area is illuminated with a laser beam. Cooling is used during the treatment to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
Post-procedure erythema and swelling usually disappear within 24-72 hours. For 2-3 days after the procedure, the patient may feel a slight burning or ‘hot’ feeling in the treatment area. To speed up the recovery process, we recommend using skin regenerating preparations and creams with SPF 50 protection.
Is laser resurfacing painful?
Fotona laser treatments are relatively comfortable. Unpleasant sensations are minimized by local cooling during the treatment.
How to prepare for photon resurfacing?
The treatment does not require any special preparations, but please remember that the skin in the treatment area cannot be tanned.
A contraindication to the procedure is also taking antibiotics, photosensitizing drugs or herbs
Contraindications to resurfacing
- Pregnancy, lactation period
- cancer
- Fresh tan, use of a solarium, bronzing lotions – wait 3-4 weeks.
- Taking photosensitizing drugs (retinoids, oral tetracyclines)
- The use of preparations with retinol should be discontinued one month before the procedure
- Very dry skin – you must first prepare it for laser therapy with moisturizing treatments
- Herpes in active state; in case of a tendency, take Hascovir

Laser resurfacing for the face - advantages
Patients often have problems with several imperfections, such as furrows, wrinkles, discolorations, gray complexion, or uneven skin structure. Facial Laser Resurfacing is an excellent solution to such problems, which gives the effect of new skin.
Resurfacing, i.e. skin rejuvenation with a fractional laser . Laser resurfacing is an excellent laser treatment for skin of all ages, it works gently but effectively, both on the surface of the skin and deeper into internal tissues. It is also an ideal treatment as a first laser treatment.
Laser resurfacing is performed with a fractional laser using the skin fractionation technique. The skin fractionation technique involves creating micro-channels in the skin with laser light, surrounded by intact tissue. This stimulates the skin to regenerate spontaneously, and thanks to fractionation, regeneration occurs much faster.
Resurfacing makes the skin smooth and bright, shallow wrinkles disappear and enlarged pores disappear. The treatment removes surface imperfections. Additionally, it can have a firming effect by stimulating collagen synthesis.
Resurfacing is a very effective and comfortable treatment for the patient. There is no recovery period that requires exclusion from life. Due to fractionated, i.e. point micro-damages to the skin, the skin is red after the treatment, but the redness disappears 2-3 days after the treatment. There is also no effect of strong skin exfoliation as is the case with laser peeling. In the case of resurfacing, a very delicate ‘powder’ exfoliation of the skin occurs, which is not bothersome and does not limit normal functioning and professional activity.
Resurfacing gives quick rejuvenation, firming and smoothing effects. The skin is rebuilt, texture is improved, skin is thickened and elasticity is improved.
A huge advantage of laser resurfacing is high treatment effectiveness without convalescence.
Laser resurfacing is an excellent treatment for people who have not yet used laser rejuvenation but would like to start using laser treatments.
The treatment is comfortable, it is felt but not painful thanks to the use of local cooling during the treatment, which increases the comfort of the treatment.
To summarize the advantages of laser resurfacing :
- allows you to get rid of many skin ailments during one treatment
- removes and reduces wrinkles
- removes shallow discolorations
- the skin becomes smooth, healthy and radiant
- firms the skin and improves elasticity
- shallows enlarged pores
- reduces scars, e.g. acne scars
- the treatment is quick and comfortable. It lasts about 30 minutes, and the treatment uses cooling to make the treatment as comfortable as possible
- does not require convalescence, the treatment does not exclude the possibility of everyday functioning
- perfect as the first laser treatment
- the possibility of adjusting the parameters makes it a suitable treatment both for younger skin that needs refreshment, shallowing of pores, improvement of color, and for mature skin, as the first rejuvenation treatment
What is the difference between resurfacing and laser peeling?
In laser peeling, the treatment covers the entire skin surface. The full spot laser head treats the entire skin surface and texture.
In the case of resurfacing, the treatment involves fractionation, i.e. it works point-wise and creates micro-channels of damage.
In the case of laser peeling, the effect of new skin can be achieved faster, but with the effect of greater redness and the exfoliation phase of the epidermis after peeling for 2-4 days. Peeling works more shallowly than fractional treatments.
Laser resurfacing is dedicated to all skin types and ages. Thanks to the possibility of individually selecting the program and treatment parameters, Fotona resurfacing can be performed in a light version (Light Peel) to a more intensive version (Medium Peel). It will perfectly cope with the first signs of aging as well as more advanced signs of aging, wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity, discoloration and scars.
Three types of laser treatments are performed: mild, medium, deep (Light / Medium / Deep)
Mild peeling/resurfacing – performed to refresh the epidermis, smooth the texture and even out the color. It is recommended for younger people.
In order to obtain a lifting effect by stimulating collagen synthesis, a larger dose of thermal energy is additionally deposited deep into the skin. In this treatment, the period of redness and peeling is approximately two days.
Medium-depth peeling/resurfacing, Las Vegas peeling – Medium exfoliation translates into more visible effects, but requires a slightly longer recovery period. After the treatment, there is slight redness. When the redness disappears, the skin will turn brown. 2-5 days after the treatment, skin peeling occurs and lasts 2-4 days. This version of the treatment is called ‘Las Vegas peeling’
Deep peeling/resurfacing – this is the deepest laser resurfacing. It is intended for people with visible signs of aging – wrinkles, discolorations, furrows, sagging skin. After the treatment, patients experience severe, intense redness and peeling. The recovery period lasts about 10 days
